The Pajar story begins in Paris, France, in 1926. Founder Paul Golbert was born into a shoemaking family, where he learned the family trade. Paul founded Pajar Canada in 1963 using the first letters of his family’s first names: Paul, Jacques, and Rachel. Committed to sustainability, Pajar only works with tanneries utilizing full water treatment plants where chemicals are properly managed, and enforce regular audits. Pajar has also pledged to incorporate a minimum of 30% upcycled and recycled components in all footwear.
